Dr. McKinney has been an avid cyclist for many years so it was an easy transition to treating cyclists when he started his Chiropractic business. He was the doctor for the San Diego State Cycling Team for ten years. As those students graduated, some became among the most elite cyclists in San Diego. Some of these elite cyclists found their way to SVC. When he was approached to treat these athletes, he was eager to help them continue on their competitive journey. Every elite team has a chiropractor on staff. In short, when the joints and spine are moving unrestricted, the muscles have their full ability to contract don't have to work as hard. The cyclist becomes more efficient giving him a competitive advantage. In addition, when a cyclist crashes, Dr. McKinney has therapies available to resolve injuries that will get a cyclist back to a competitive level twice as fast. His experience in treating athletes has extended to professional weight lifters, NFL players, major league baseball players and Olympic athletes.

Mission Carpet Distributors is a locally owned wholesale flooring distributor. Established in 1963, we distribute installation products to the commercial flooring trade in Southern California. The founder, John Melucci, started riding his bike at the age of 70, and would often be the oldest rider in many of the local organized rides that he participated in. John was on his bike into his mid 80’s. His son Don Melucci also rides, carrying on the family biking tradition.
